The mother has shown immense strength in engaging with services and has successfully been reunified with her children. Currently, the family lives in a small efficiency, but it is a home filled with love. Kinship has been a great support in furnishing their space. Unfortunately, the mother’s recent struggles have been compounded by the loss of her car, which was stolen, and the loss of her job due to scheduling conflicts with her manager. She has been actively seeking work, including a recent application to McDonald's, and is hopeful she’ll secure a position soon. In the meantime, she’s doing everything she can to provide for her children. Since she no longer has a vehicle, she uses public transportation to get the children to and from school. The mother has showed the GAL a 3 seater electric bike that would help get them to their destinations quicker but cannot afford it. Unfortunately, she’s currently facing a setback and could really use some support to help her through this difficult time and to strengthen the reunification.

The client was reunified with his two sons in January. The client lost his full-time job as a CDL driver due to on-going appointments and delayed childcare. The client is currently relying on Door Dash deliveries to pay bills and is requesting assistance with February’s rent in the amount of $1500.00. The father is a hardworking dad. He worked full time as a CDL driver before the children were reunified. Dad is responsible for transporting the children to school and therapy appointments, one child attending an Autistic school. Dad is seeking employment that will support the children’s schedules. This one-time financial assistance will help dad and prevent eviction process. This will give the father time to regain full time employment.

A caregiver is needing assistance with getting car seats for the 3 young children in her home. They have been outgrowing their car seats, and she is needing 2 toddler car seats as well as a larger infant seat for the 8-month-old boy. Any assistance is appreciated! This request is for three boxes of size 3/4T Pull-Ups priced at $33 each, totaling $99. Additionally, the child needs eight two-piece clothing sets priced at $17 each, totaling $136. Verified prices are from Walmart. The total amount requested for these items is $235. These essential supplies will ensure the child has proper hygiene products and appropriate clothing during this difficult transition.

Our little girl is four years old and the epitome of a girly-girl. She has lived with her aunt since she was seven months old. Her caregivers are in the processes of adopting her.
If you ask her what her greatest accomplishment is, she will reply, “being able to take swim lessons at the Y.” She has taken weekly swim lessons since September 2024 and in November 2024. She wants to be a mermaid when she grows up because she says she swims like a mermaid. If she sees a body of water she will ask if she can go swimming. However, her love for the water has now become dangerous and unsafe for her. In November 2024, she was diagnosed with non-symptomatic, Tonic-clonic Grand Mal Seizure Disorder. After five seizures, her neurologist advised she not be left alone at any time and advised the family of several changes in the home for safety purposes. One of those safety measure was to install a fence in the backyard. There is a large retention pond behind the family’s home and the caregivers are fearful that she may access the pond. They are seeking financial assistance to purchase fencing and installation to ensure the child's safety.

The mother has shared that she’s feeling overwhelmed by everything going on, and we want to make sure she doesn’t feel isolated or unsupported during this challenging time. It’s really important that she doesn’t feel like she’s carrying this burden alone, as we want to help prevent any setbacks and ensure she has the support she needs to stay strong. The client is a single mother of 3 children. The mother has a DCF case due to Domestic Violence. The mother has not had the mental and emotional capacity to appropriately care for the children and their basic needs. The mother will be working with mental health services and has disclosed that she has been stressed with acquiring clothing and shoes for her children at this time.
