ACS is working with a single mom with 5 children who has been living in a DV situation. The father is no longer in the home and the mother has asked for a safety transfer. She has no furniture and everything they have is packed in a living room as she wats for the transfer. Mom and the children are sleeping in one room and have no air conditioning. She is desperate for some relief for her and the children and is asking for one a/c so they can sleep more comfortably. The children range from 10 months old to 14 years old. The children also need summer clothes.

Single head of a household that is experiencing financial hardship. Mom is not working mow due to alot of medical issues. Mom has horrible back, shoulder pains,.She is on auto immune medications. She recently was put on heart monitoring. She has 2 sons ages 4 and 7. They have out grown their toddler mattresses and would like to have assistance in getting them new mattresses. She has had a bunk set donated with no mattresses and at this time she don't know when she could get them. Your hrlp will be very much appreciated

One of the daughters does not have a dresser, and the family is also in need of three mattresses for the children. These items are critical to helping the family maintain a safe, organized, and dignified living environment. The mother has a scheduled appointment with the Human Resources Administration (HRA) in an effort to secure further support. In the meantime, we are seeking immediate assistance with the following: -One dresser for the daughter -Three mattresses for the children Providing these basic necessities would significantly reduce the stress this family is experiencing and greatly contribute to their well-being and sense of security. We are supporting a hardworking mom who has recently taken a big step forward by moving out of a shelter into more permanent housing. She works as a childcare provider, but her income often isn’t enough to cover all the expenses that come with raising her young son. Right now, she needs support to help cover the cost of moving into her new apartment. Meeting this need will ease a significant financial burden and allow her and her son to begin this new chapter with stability and hope. A soon-to-be 16 year old young man is living with his single mother and older brother in a NYCHA complex in Brownsville, having recently lost his father to cancer. His mother is currently out of work and he has recently been the victim of school and neighborhood bullying. He has been practicing guitar for about a year now and has been active in music program participation at BCJC. Unfortunately, he has no tablet or computer at home and we are requesting one for this participant to use at home. He is currently on probation and can only leave home to go to school and BCJC. We are requesting a tablet for his use at home, so he can work on homework, in addition to further develop the music engineering and production skills he has begun learning at BCJC's music programs.

This request is on behalf of a 22 year old father and his family. This Young Parent, who is a program Alumni, lives with his 9 month old son, and his mother. He is Head of Household, Currently Working to find employment after holding a temporary position in the culinary industry. He is motivated to find sustainable work to take care of his family and their basic needs, but could use some support right now with getting food, diapers, and a new car seat for the little baby. His son has grown out of his old car seat and the participant is currently looking to invest in a used car soon to help get his family around.
