Single mother and her son are having to move out due to the owner of the house wanting her home back. She has given them 14 days to find a place to live and move out. This mother works a full-time job and is able to pay her bills paycheck to paycheck to keep care of her son and herself. She has found a home that requires a deposit of 750 and first month rent of 750 dollars and the landlord has agreed to wait a week in a half before he lets another person look at it. She works in Fort Scott so this place is located there which will be less driving time for her and her child. Anything at all will help this family. This agency and also the mother is asking other places for help, anything is appreciated.

A single mother and her 13-year-old son need shelter due to the incoming winter weather. Requesting payment for two or three nights of hotel so they can be safe from the weather and below freezing temperatures. They need a place to stay tonight and the next few nights. Thank you for your kindness and generosity in helping this family in need.

I am working with a single mom with a 2-year-old boy. This mom does work full time but is having a hard time affording the items needed to help make their home safer. She does not have a vacuum cleaner for their floor, and she desperately needs one. She has no window coverings at all in her home. She has some blankets, but she hangs those on the laundry room door to prevent the cold air from coming through to the rest of the home. Her landlord is not helpful at all, but this home is all she can afford at this time. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Used curtains would be perfectly ok as well. Thank you.

Family is in need of assistance to continue to stay in the hotel until housing placement comes through. Family continues to work through case plan goals and try to establish more natural supports in the community. Asking for any assistance possible to add nights to their hotel room stays

I am currently working with a family of 5 children under 7 and 2 adults. The family has recently moved and it trying to get services set up to assist them while they are looking for employment. Mother has reached out to local services to find size 3 diapers as they are out, but the resources she reached out to were out of that size as well. We are looking for anyone that could be able to assist in some diapers for their youngest.

2-year-old boy needs toddler bed at his aunt's house. Agency has already reached out to Dream Big Little One which does not have one available at this time. Any assistance, used or new, is appreciated!

Aunt recently took placement of her 2-year-old nephew. She requested a toy box for his things. They live in a small, two-bedroom house and this would keep his things organized and tidy. Prices vary, however the cheapest I could find was $50. Any assistance is appreciated!

A single mother will a 4-month-old daughter and 3-year-old daughter is in need of living room furniture and a twin-size bed frame (the 3-year old's bed frame broke in the move.) The family has left a unsafe situation and has just moved in to start over. The family has attempted to use other community resources with no luck. This mother would be grateful for any assistance.

Four children were recently reintegrated back with their biological parents. Since the children were removed the parents have found better living conditions for the children to return to. With the move the families cost of living has increased however they are able to maintain their rent and utilities. They are wanting to stay on top of keeping their new place clean and are in need of cleaning supplies and other necessities. They are needing a good mop and bucket, toilet brushes, disinfecting wipes, pine sol, gain laundry soap (the only soap that does not bother the children's skin), dryer sheets, toilet paper (angel soft), paper towels, Aussie Shampoo and conditioner. The youngest is also in need of socks as he struggles with wearing shoes due to a medical condition. The family feels that this little bit of assistance with these needs will allow them time continue to stay up to date on all other expenses and will allow them to save for future cleaning products and necessities.

Grandma has placement of her three grandchildren. She is needing assistance with three dressers for the children's clothes. Grandma is on a fixed income. These can be used!

Grandma found a clothing rack on wheels at thrift store. She now would like something similar for the baby.

Three children were reintegrated back into their mother's care but is in need of several things which include assistance with utilities, storage, and a washer and dryer. The mother has been seeking more full-time employment however has not been able to locate anything that will allow her to be home to care for her children in the evenings. She continues to work part-time with her employer. The family is not originally from this area and does not know many people in the area to help the single mother and recently has been introduced to resources in the area, however, is still in need of help. Help towards her electricity bill which is currently set-up on a payment plan but is at $1200.00. Could use a working used washer and dryer which may be around $100.00.

Single dad needs help. He lost his job within the last couple of months and is collecting unemployment but not able to pay the propane bill to help heat the house when the children are there on visitation. He gets the children half the time as there is 50/50 custody for them. He is able to use some electric heaters but is limited.
