Front Line Team - Christ Community Church

A Mom and her three children have just moved into their new home after several months of homelessness. They are currently sleeping on air mattresses until they are able to obtain beds. The family is in the process of receiving a set of bunk beds for two of the children but they are still in need of two more beds for Mom and one of the children. Mom could use twin, full, or queen. This will help the family with stability and comfortable/ quality sleep as they settle into their new home.

My client is eagerly preparing to bring her baby home from the NICU where she has been since she was born 2 weeks ago, in the next couple of weeks. However, she is facing the challenge of not having an infant car seat, which is required by the hospital before they can release her baby. In addition to the car seat, she is also looking for a stroller, ensuring that she has everything needed for her baby's safe and comfortable transport once they're discharged. This mother of 3 does not have family support and she has been unemployed for about three months because of her pregnancy. The money she had been able to save, is going straight to rent and utilities. With the clock ticking, she is eager to secure these essential items. Whether they are new or gently used, combo or not, a carseat and a stroller will be greatly appreciated by this young mother. Thank you.

A 20-year-old mom with twins needs a monthly bus pass. This will enable her to attend job interviews, to be able to secure a job, and be eligible to enroll her children in school. This will also help her get her children to and from school.

We recently helped deliver a stroller and car seats to a mom of five children who is scheduled to deliver twins this week. The mom does not have much support apart from her 16 y/o daughter and as you can imagine it is going to be a lot of work feeding 5 children while also caring for newborn twins. We would love to help bless this mom with some meals and extra groceries! After quite a long wait, and through many challenges, this single Mom of three finally has housing! Safe Families has been involved with this family for 6+ months and we are so excited that they have housing and a fresh start!

Mom and her kids are newly moved into their house and they are gathering the things they need to make it feel like a home. They do not have any living room furniture and we are seeking donated couches / a living room set. Items could be used and in good condition / purchased from a thrift store. Mom is looking forward to creating new memories in this loving home, and would be so appreciative of any couches/ comfy chairs / living room table, that could be provided.

In helping the mother and her newborn baby with obtaining an infant car seat for the day of delivery, the mother has expressed some additional needs to care for the child and their older sibling. These items will help support the mother in her transition to being a mother of two and alleviate some concerns the newborn was born premature. The mom is requesting assistance with obtaining a baby swing, premie diapers and clothing, and wipes. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

A 22-year-old young lady, who was previously a foster kid who was later adopted into a family, that that was short lived due to divorce and neither parent wanted responsibility of child, ended on the streets of West Philadelphia in a small trailer pup tent between two buildings, For months, she lived without access to running water, heat, or a proper sanitation system. After learning about the program’s supportive environment and resources for independent living, she courageously agreed to give it a try. We are seeking to provide her with essential items, such as proper bedding, personal storage, and bathroom supplies, to ensure she has a safe and dignified space to begin rebuilding her life. Dorm Room Refrigerator: To give residents access to personal food storage. Bedding for Twin Bed: Including sheets, blankets, and pillows to create a warm and welcoming space. Bathroom Setups: Towels, shower curtains, and other essentials to ensure a fully functional and comfortable environment. These items are crucial to helping her feel at home and supported during this transformative time. We are reaching out to request donations to meet these needs.
