This request is on behalf of a Hope Florida participant that is a single mother and her daughter. This dedicated mom is facing financial hardship and struggling to make ends meet. Without reliable transportation and with her driver's license suspended, she is forced to rely on others for rides. Due to limited free transportation, she is unable to reach needed destinations such as work, groceries, doctor appointments, etc. The girl is limited in her attendance to school due to lack of transportation. She is seeking assistance with obtaining bus passes, which would be a crucial step in helping her maintain steady employment and support her family. Access to reliable transportation will also ensure her daughter can consistently attend school. This will provide the opportunity to receive and work toward a brighter future. The support you can provide will help stabilize the family's situation and set them on the path toward long-term success. The cost for a monthly pass is $155 for an adult and $77.50 for child in school from K-12 (which is half prize). Please help them with a two-month pass to take the bus. Any other form of assistance such as a money card will be also help this family obtain the bus passes. The total cost of both passes is $466.00.

Dear community, we are reaching out to support a hardworking single mother of four who has recently lost her full-time job cleaning hotel rooms due to a drop in bookings. She is now only working two days a week and actively looking for more work. Her job search has been especially difficult due to her legal status in this country, but despite the challenges, she remains hopeful. She is not currently receiving food stamps or child support, which has made it even harder to stay afloat.

She is now short on rent for July 1st, especially after falling behind on her electricity bill. Our organization is stepping in to help with groceries, and basic needs — and we are also working to help her find additional resources. We are doing everything we can to help her and her children stay in their apartment and avoid eviction.

If you’re able to support with some of the rent, no matter how small, it would make a real difference for this family during this difficult time. Thank you for your compassion and solidarity.
