📣 Summer Camp Assistance Needed for 13-Year-Old Boy Reuniting with Family:

St. Augustine Youth Services is supporting a family in North Jacksonville as their 13-year-old son transitions home after spending over a year in our Specialized Therapeutic Group Home.

🏡 He was successfully reunited with his mother on May 31, 2025. 🧭 As part of his discharge plan, a structured summer camp was recommended to help him:

  • Adjust to being back home ❤️
  • Maintain important social connections 🤝
  • Continue developing key social skills 🌱
  • Build positive routines and friendships in the community 🏀🎨 👩‍👦‍👦 His mother has found a wonderful local option—Wilson’s Rising Stars—a camp that understands his behavioral and mental health needs and is conveniently located near their home. 🎯 Cost of Camp (8 Weeks): $1,290 We are reaching out to generous partners and community members to help cover the cost. Two other agencies have already pledged support, and our agency is also contributing. 🙏 We are requesting 1/3 of the total cost: $430, which can be paid directly to the camp. If you're able to help this young man continue his positive progress and build a strong summer experience, please let us know. Your support will make a lasting difference! 💙 Thank you!

Dear community, we are reaching out to support a hardworking single mother of four who has recently lost her full-time job cleaning hotel rooms due to a drop in bookings. She is now only working two days a week and actively looking for more work. Her job search has been especially difficult due to her legal status in this country, but despite the challenges, she remains hopeful. She is not currently receiving food stamps or child support, which has made it even harder to stay afloat.

She is now short on rent for July 1st, especially after falling behind on her electricity bill. Our organization is stepping in to help with groceries, and basic needs — and we are also working to help her find additional resources. We are doing everything we can to help her and her children stay in their apartment and avoid eviction.

If you’re able to support with some of the rent, no matter how small, it would make a real difference for this family during this difficult time. Thank you for your compassion and solidarity.
