Story
This foster mom is a family friend of the biological mother and is a first-time mother, opening up her home for the mom's kiddos after they were removed from the home. She has been struggling to adjust to having two children in the home considering she lived alone before, but has made leaps and bounds in recent months. The siblings are very attached to her and constantly tell me about their park adventures and nail-painting sessions, and the foster mom has gone above and beyond to make sure they have the appropriate academic and medical care. During my recent visit with the foster mom, she expressed that the kids were needing new mattresses but all her foster agency had were Twin XLs, which won't fit in their room. She further stated that a bunk bed would allow them more space in the room to play and would provide them with more room to add clothing storage. Finally, the mother stated that the last safety item she needed was a lock box for her prescription medication. We would appreciate any help in getting these needs met as this foster family is growing into quite the strong unit.
