Mother fled a domestically violent relationship, Artemis help with finding her housing, she is in need of help with getting a bed for her child/ she has little to no resources, she is looking for a job as well as applying for assistance.

Mom successfully completed drug recovery programming and is working hard to maintain sobriety. She struggles to afford luxuries but is doing really well maintaining the basics for her baby. Mom has no family help or an involved father of her child. Mom’s housing is such that she cannot see her child when she is in the kitchen and he is too small for her high chair now. Mom could benefit from having a baby swing for her infant so she can safely put the baby in view while she is working in the kitchen and have an alternative place for the baby to nap.

This family is in need of dire assistance in order to maintain their current housing situation. Mother has recently escaped a violent relationship, leaving her as a single mother. Due to mother's severe health issues, she has been unable to maintain employment and does not have her disability hearing until next month. Her emergency funds through the county have just been canceled and now she finds herself and her young child facing eviction. We are requesting financial assistance for this mother in order to avoid eviction. She requires funds by this coming Monday, 2/17/25, or she will be evicted.

This single mother needs assistance getting her car back in working order. Due to her car breaking down, she has been unable to work her delivery job to secure the necessary funds to make her rent payment and is now facing eviction. Mother received a check engine diagnostic test and it was determined that she needed a new battery, a spark plug replacement, and an intake manifold gasket replacement. Please help us assist this mother restore her car to working condition so she can get back to work in order to avoid eviction. This will also help mother provide transportation for her young daughter to and from school.

I have a Head Start parent whose landlord increased her rent significantly, however her Section 8 voucher did not increase. Mom now has to move to another Section 8 house. Mom did find another Section 8 house, but she needs $600 more for the deposit. I called Help Link and was given the name of 2 places to call and mom called both of those places and they did not work out. Mom has 4 children in the house and she was able to find a 4 bdrm Section 8 house which is very hard to find and it was in the price range she needs which is also very hard to find. I'm hoping she can move before she and her children end up homeless. Thank you!

Grandmother has taken over care of 4 of her grandchildren 2 of which are not school age, she is unable to work her normal schedule due to not having child care for the two younger children, she has gotten behind on her utilities and is in need of help paying her AES bill. Her hard work and dedication have truly paid off, and she is overjoyed to have her family back under one roof. However, there’s still a crucial need that must be met: a full-sized refrigerator.

Providing this refrigerator would make all the difference for this family. With two growing teenage boys, they need ample space to store nutritious food, ensuring they’re well-fed and healthy. It will also enable this incredible mother—who has gone above and beyond to keep her family together—to better support her children’s needs.

Requested Height of refrigerator 64in width 30in.

MCCS manager met with the family to conduct an assessment and only observed 2 twin mattresses on the floor in the home. The mattresses were shared between the four children. When the manager came back and noticed the mattresses were no longer in the home, mom reported that she since threw away the mattresses. MCCS is requesting Careportal assistance with two bunk bed sets and a full bed set so the children can have their own sleeping space as mom recently secured housing and trying to rebuild her life from a domestic violence relationship.

We have a father who was just received the ability to have overnights with his son starting on 2/1. He needs a twin bed in order for his visits to start. Any assistance to help the father start his visits and hopefully move to reunification would be appreciated. Thank you for all you do.

Mom recently received custody of her child back and does not have the extra money to buy him a bed. I am asking if care portal could help getting him a twin size bed in order to maintain his placement back home.

This is a single mother of 4 young children. They are in need of living room furniture. If anybody could help out with this request, this family would be so grateful. Thank you all so much for your support for the families in need in our community.

A dedicated great-grandmother has had full custody of her 16-year-old great-grandson since birth. Both the great grandmother and teenager receive disability income but there is little extra to cover additional costs. Great-grandmother shared with OhioKAN that she needs a few items for her great-grandson. The most urgent need is a pair or two of scrubs. He is in a nursing program through the career center and wears a size 5X and she has been unable to find scrubs for him. They can be found on Amazon for under $30. In addition, she frequently shops at St. Vincent thrift shop, but they did not have a coat in his size. A gently used coat is appreciated but can also be found on Amazon for about $50 in a 5X. She is also in need of shoes (size 13) and underwear for him. A gift card to Walmart or Citi Trends would help her get some of these necessities for him. Lastly, the teenager is sleeping on a twin mattress but it really is not big enough for him to sleep comfortably. A gently used full/queen mattress and frame would be greatly appreciated. These are basic needs the family has but unfortunately, they do not have the extra income to purchase and have not had success finding at their local thrift stores. Any help with one or more of these items would be a blessing to the family!
