My disabled daughter and I lost our home unexpectedly and had to move into a hotel for a while. We were able to find an apartment and recently moved in, but financially it took a big toll on us. I am a single mom and struggling to make ends meet. Any help to get back on our feet would be greatly appreciated.

J. is a single mom with one child still at home. She has worked tirelessly to get her certification towards a new career in order to better support her family. She has applied for many jobs and is attending interviews, but she just needs a little bit of help to finish out the program and keep food on the table for herself and her daughter. Your support would mean a lot to them!

The child is currently under thee care of her grandmother. After months of efforts, grandma and the child were able to get a two-bedroom apartment. Unfortunately, during the move, the furniture and other items became un-useable. Grandma is on a fixed income. Grandma is requesting support from the community to get the essential items so that their new home is livable.

Father and his partner are taking care of his high-needs son fulltime. The nine-year-old has autism and a 2nd tier learning disability, ADHD, and had craniosynostosis as a baby, which required surgery at eight months old. His school reports that he has excelled since transferring at the start of the last school year (his previous school had informed them that he was non-verbal, which turned out to not be the case). It was reported that he loves being at school, and he has made a lot of progress academically. It was also reported that he often comes to school in the same or unwashed clothes. His father is trying to make that easier for his child to improve his experience at school, but it is difficult without a washer and dryer hooked up in their apartment. Father does not drive and is currently between jobs, so getting laundry completed can be a struggle. Father has stated that he does not need new appliances.

Mother and her three children recently moved into a larger home. They are requesting bedding items and misc. household to help make their new house a home. There is also a request for support with clothing as the children are outgrowing their clothes, but money is tight due to paying moving costs. Mother sent me links to Amazon so all requests are custom financial. She would be glad to receive anything similar. This family consists of a single mom with three children. The mother is a survivor of domestic violence and has struggled significantly with rebuilding her life after the separation with father of the children. This mother is struggling with her mental health and is unable to work at this time and also has no child care for her two kids that are not school age. She is requesting assistance with summer clothing for the children. This will alleviate financial pressures that she is facing and to be able to divert these funds to more pressing matter.

Single Mother has achieved stable housing and employment and achieved over 6 months of sobriety. Mother has been working as many hours at employment utilizing all her money to go to rent. Mother has made significant progress and will soon be reunified with her son who is 12 years old. Mother has expressed interest in Embark to begin the process of becoming a peer recovery coach and is in need of $50 for application and initial fees.

I am currently working with a teen who has gone through many traumas in her life, starting as a baby, who is now facing more adversity. This teenager has been working very hard in her education, her mental health, and substance use treatment and has even been awarded employee of the month at her job this past month. This teen has been through a lot + is still facing a lot and her accomplishments deserve to be celebrated. This request is for a $50 gift card to target for the teen to know her hard work doesn't go unnoticed and to be able to celebrate her success in treatment and her employee of the month award while going through difficult emotional and legal tasks.

A single mother and her two children recently moved into their first apartment alone. Her children are 9 and 2. The nine-year-old has significant mental health needs and has a seizure disorder. His sister is in need of a bed frame and only has a mattress currently. The mother is requesting a dining table for their kitchen, a toddler size bed frame, two dressers for the children's clothes, and any seating options. There are significant financial barriers due to unemployment and the family does not have transportation.
