This request is for a newly expecting single mother that has taken on the responsibility of caring for her younger 18 year old brother. Her brother was involved in an accident in June of 2024 where he was hit by a car causing severe physical injuries. He was in a wheelchair until recently but is now walking but still has a way to go before he is back to 100%. They are needing help with repairing the steps on the porch as some are broken and hand rails needs to be added to the sides to ensure the child can get up and down the steps safely.

A single mother, who is a domestic violence survivor is reunified with her 5 children. She has worked hard to provide for her children without assistance and is now seeking help to maintain one of the most basic necessities- water. The water bill is behind multiple months and water has been shut off. This bio mom has worked hard for two years to get her children back in a safe home. She is employed part time and her income does not stretch to meet all of the needs of the home. She became behind on the water bill several months ago. The water company did not stop service to the home due to the Holidays but now will only accept payment in full and no payment plan/promise to pay will be accepted from the account holder. OHS is attempting to obtain financial assistance from multiple sources in order to chip away at the amount owed. I beseech you to contribute any amount to restore services of clear flowing water for this family to drink, bath and clean with. If multiple generous donors could assist this family, the amount won't seem so daunting.

A teenager in foster care was given a voucher for clothing. She and the foster parent spent two hours looking for clothing and shoes that would be under $200. Unfortunately, once they were at the checkout they were informed that JC Penney no longer takes those vouchers. Foster parent reported that the teen would like those items. I am reaching out to her community to see if anyone could pay for the $200 items that she found at that store.

We have a family fostering 4 teenagers on top of having 4 children of their own. Their freezer went out that stores all of their meat. They are looking for a freezer of any kind, new or used. This is a large family that depends on their freezer to help keep their food frozen so they can buy in bulk. Any help would be appreciated.

This foster child and family is in need of a wobble chair, which is typically used in occupational therapy settings. This 3yo child is awaiting an Autism diagnosis and would greatly benefit from this chair to help with his hyperactivity and sensory seeking behaviors. The chair is designed to allow the child to tilt, rock, swivel, etc. without falling off.

Please help this family who recently lost their dad with a dumpster. This family has been working really hard to finish services to reunify with their children, housing was an issue but due to a recent death they have now inherited a home, but it needs a lot of clean up. Anything helps.

A father is working to reunify with his two children, and has recently began having his children at his home for visits. Due to recent financial difficulties, this father has struggled to pay his electric bill. The father was able to put $200 toward the balance, but is still in need of $200 to keep his electricity on. If the father is unable to pay the remainder of his electric bill, his two children will no longer to be able to visit the father at his home. Any help is appreciated, thank you.

I have a student that is currently working and trying to graduate high school. She has been living on her own for the last couple of years. She has found an apartment and is need of a queen box spring and bedding. Sleeping well would help her be able to focus at school and work hard to become the best she can be moving forward.

This child just came from out of state as this is an ICPC placement. The child only came with a suitcase of items and the family is in need of a twin size bed and mattress for the child.

This family is starting in trial reunification within the next few weeks and will be starting unsupervised overnights this weekend. They are in need of a toddler bed, toddler mattress, and bedding. While any toddler bed will do, the child loves Spiderman and Mickey Mouse and if he could get a toddler bed with one of these icons that would be very helpful. Sheets and blanket would also be appreciated.

Bio mother of two small children (both under 2 y/o) has moved into an apartment. After speaking with the apartment manager, worker was informed the first month's rent is due on 2/1/25 but they are willing to work with the mother due to her circumstances. We are needing assistance with paying the first month's rent, which is $400. Bio mother is getting back on her feet and trying to provide a safe and stable home for her children. She has been working for a little over a month and just needs some support until she is firmly on her feet. Any assistance with this need is greatly appreciated.
