Help Strengthen a Bio Family
Family in need of $245 to make up the rest of past due rent to avoid eviction. The family was able to come up with $1,200 of the $1,245. Mom was unexpectedly in the hospital for 3 weeks that put the family behind financially.

Help Strengthen a Bio Family
This family has recently picked up and left everything they know to move to a better school district so their children can have a better education due to some issue the children were having at their previous school. Leaving behind all of their family and social supports has been hard physically and financially. This family is looking for a gift card to help purchase some personal clothing items for their growing family. This family has had to sacrifice comfortability for location to make sure their children have the best shot at getting a good education, but these sacrifices have led to this family having trouble affording a few basic needs for their children. This mother is asking for a gift card or two to help purchase personal clothing items for her children. If you can find it in your hearts to give, they would be very appreciative.

Hello, seeking a toddler convertible car-seat for a 9-month-old girl. This new, young family has made significant progress in the home to accomplish goals and improve family stability. This is something they identified as a need at this time :) I have attached a link of one on Amazon, though it does not need to be this exact model! Go To Link

Help Reunify a Bio Family
Bethany Christian Services has a satellite office in Allegan County where we are able to host parenting times. We have recently had several case referrals with younger children and babies. Our parenting time rooms are in need of additional baby items to support parents during their visits: bouncy seats, high chair, support to sit, etc. Families would benefit from some type of sitting apparatus for a baby to be in while parents are caring for larger sibling groups so the infant doesn't have to just sit in their car seat.

I am servicing a family in the Hudsonville area and they are without a lawn mower. The family has had to borrow lawn mowers from various neighbors to help keep their lawn in order. The family is facing fines from the trailer park if their lawn is not address. The family is looking for a lawn mower to be able to reliably take care of their own lawn. The estimated value is $400 but any lawn mower will suffice. Thank you for taking time to look at this request and I hope you have great rest of your day.

Hello everyone, I am servicing a family who is in need of 7 trailer windows. The family is already connected with Solid Rock who is willing to replace the windows in the home. Solid Rock has purchased the windows, but the family only has $500 allocated to the repair. The total cost will be $989. The family needs $489 more funds to pay for the remaining balance for the windows. The family has been living with these broken windows for many months. The family is getting pressure from the trailer park, or they may face possible eviction.

Help Remove an Educational Barrier for a Child
Our non-profit organization is once again taking part in the annual Back-to-School Drive in Ottawa County, a vital effort to ensure that children and families in our community have access to the essential school supplies they need to succeed.
We are reaching out in a time of great need. As the new school year approaches, we are seeing a growing number of families struggling to afford even the most basic educational materials. This year, more than ever, your support could make a meaningful difference in the lives of local students.
We would greatly appreciate any assistance you may be able to provide. Every donation helps us get closer to ensure that no child in our community is left behind due to lack of supplies.
Thank you for considering our request and for your continued commitment to supporting local families.

Help Preserve a Foster Care Placement
We have a foster family that provided a home to two children last Friday for the weekend as the agency didn't have anywhere for the children to sleep and they were going to have to sleep in the office. It was found over the weekend that the children have lice, and they wet through pull-ups during the night. I would love to provide this family with a basket including maybe some extra laundry soap, paper plates, a gift card for pizza or just a few items to thank the family for going above and being in providing kind and loving care while these kids are in a hard spot. The family is continueing to care for the children past Monday as the agency is having a hard time finding a foster home to take them due to this lice. Because the children are already embarrased by the situation, a worker from Bethany will deliver the items. We are open to any suggestions of items, just want to acknowledge the family and thank them for going the extra mile and providing these girls a home.

A teen boy who recently arrived to Bethany Christian Services from Guatemala is requesting access to a bike and helmet. If he is able to receive access to a bike, the youths quality of life will be improved due to the ability to engage in activities that will better both his mental health and his physical health. This youth has fled his country of origin to escape community violence and to attain a better life here in the United States. Having access to a bike will allow the youth to get exercise, travel around his neighborhood/city, and enjoy the outdoors. Additionally, the youth will need access to a helmet as well to ensure his safety while riding.

This family has an infant in the home and are in need of a specific baby gate to fit in their home. The family has a set of stairs that are needed to be gated and their current baby gate does not correctly fit in the stairway. This will help allow the family to preserve placement and keep the child safe in the home.

Help Improve a Child's Safety/Wellbeing
Hello! We have a 15yo who is absolutely passionate about electronics, video games, and music. He has been diagnosed with an intellectual disability which limits his capacity to understand his situation and make appropriate decisions for himself often leading him to unsafe environments as he behaves and thinks like a 6yo boy. This youth has been going AWOL almost every day and making relationships within the community that we do not believe it is appropriate for him. We have tried almost everything to prevent this youth from AWOLING so often; however, he states that he goes AWOL because he feels bored in his placement. He usually returns from AWOL within 2 or 3 hours, however, his AWOLING is a significant concern for his safety and wellbeing. This youth is very personable and friendly, so we have concerns about individuals taking advantage of him during his AWOLs. This youth has been asking for a Nintendo Switch to be added as one of his coping skills. We believe that having a Nintendo Switch will minimize his AWOLS and he will feel motivated to stay in his placement when he feels bored. The agency has done some searching in the Facebook Marketplace and a gently used Nintendo Switch costs between $100 and $150. We are asking for the money so we can purchase the video game, however, a donation of a Nintendo Switch would be preferred.
