Family with 4 children is in need of a booster seat for their 4 year old child. This family has one vehicle for transportation. The mom is unable to use Lancaster Public Transportation due to not having a booster for her 4 year-old. Without access to public transportation the family is not able to attend medical appointments. Having access to a booster and public transportation will also help to improve the 8 year old child's attendance as her mom does not send her when she is at risk of being sick because she does not have a way to pick her up. Filling this need will help this family increase their access to medical care and education.

A loving sister recently contacted us seeking urgent assistance after taking in her siblings following their mother's tragic passing in a car accident. She took in both her brother and sister and took time off work to get the family situated, lay her mom to rest, and focus on the well-being of her siblings. Due to this, she fell behind on rent, which is now going into the second month. The caregiver is back at work, and the children are back in school, allowing her to try to get her payments back on track. The caregiver has a private landlord who has been very understanding and is not charging her late fees at this time, but she still needs to get her rent paid and back on track to avoid falling deeper into debt. The care givers rent is $1,000 each month.

School Counselor is requesting financial assistance for a 12 year old student to play softball for the local youth league. The student lacks confidence and she has a low self-esteem. The student wants to play softball with her friends and classmates. Her mother is trying to her best to help her, but she is only making minimum wage. The student's mother feels ashamed that she cannot afford to help her daughter play softball. The student's father does not pay child support to the mother. When the student was able to play basketball the parent and school staff saw a big change in the student. Her attitude was much better and she was much more confident in herself. Her grades were greatly improved also. The school staff would really like to keep this student in sports in the local community with her friends.

Unfortunately, she has exhausted all available community resources for rental assistance. PRC denied her application due to her current unemployment status, IMPACT Community Action only assists with court-ordered evictions, and Clintonville Beechwold Center and Franklin County Senior Options do not have funding at this time. This caregiver is doing everything in her power to regain stability. She is confident that by March, she will secure employment or, at the very least, be approved for unemployment benefits. In the meantime, she faces this urgent need. Any support during this difficult time would mean the world to her and the two young children who depend on her. A loving and caring caregiver has legal custody of her fourteen-year-old granddaughter whom faced significant amount of trauma being sexually abuse with a weapon. The caregiver is on a fixed-income, and Medicaid. She reports that Medicaid will not cover the trifocals. She needs a specialized glasses and sunglasses for her eyes which Medicaid would not cover according to the caregiver. She reports that she would have to pay about $600.00 out of pocket for the specialized medical glasses. She has ongoing health issues and she need glasses to be able to go to and from medical appointments, grocery stores and to be able to transport her granddaughter safely to doctors appointments and school. She is seeking support with this need.

A wonderful grandmother has legal custody of her fourteen year old granddaughter. The caregiver granddaughter has been through significant trauma, and has been a victim of sexual abuse by an offender with a weapon. Since then the child has developed PTSD and Anxiety. She receives support through Buckeye Ranch for therapy and medication. A service dog will bring comfort to the child if the family is able to receive support, and the dog can go everywhere with the child. The service dog will provide comfort to the child. The caregiver has exhausted a lot of resources and she has not been able to find help. The service dog cost around $3500.00, but any assistance the family would be appreciative of.

She is experiencing ongoing health issues related to diabetes and rheumatoid arthritis. While she is in the process of applying for Social Security, she is also applying for unemployment benefits to help cover her bills and provide for the children.

She has submitted an application for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) but has not yet received approval. In the meantime, she is in urgent need of grocery assistance and is seeking support in obtaining groceries or a grocery gift card for her family. Hello, I am a school outreach worker with protective services, assisting a family in southern Perry County in need of support. A grandmother, who is caring for her four grandchildren (ages 3, 4, 6, and 7), is in urgent need of beds for the children. She has been struggling to find suitable housing but was able to purchase a camper. However, the camper currently lacks beds and has only basic living essentials.

The grandmother is hoping to obtain small beds, air mattresses, or toddler beds to provide a safe and comfortable sleeping space for her grandchildren. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Two toddler beds have been secured. The family is still in need of two additional mattresses, if possible. The children, ages 6 and 7, would ideally need twin beds, but they are grateful for any available support. Thank you!

This family has been struggling financially due to having 3 children and both parents working at a low income job. The 2 children both do not have a bed and are in need of one. This family would be appreciative of 2 beds and 2 bed frames. This family will take 2 beds without frames if those cannot be provided.
