I have a newborn currently in a foster placement but with a relative placement option in the works. The baby was exposed to substances in utero and struggled with withdrawal, feeding, and needed oxygen for the first few days of life. The baby is a fighter and recovered quickly, was discharged from the NICU, and remains generally healthy. Recently the baby turned blue for a few seconds, there is a plan in place if it were to happen again, but the current foster family has an owlet (monitor's oxygen) that has brought them reassurance. The child's medical providers are aware of this concern but at this time no additional care is needed. This baby's relative has had various children related to the baby as siblings or cousins placed with her, unfortunately also due to CPS concerns. She has adopted all of the children that have ever been placed with her and raised them into adulthood. Because of her willingness to preserve the family connection and be there for her family we have been able to keep different sibling sets together. Unfortunately, she is once again needed as a placement, this time for this baby. Fortunately, the baby will be with his siblings in what will likely turn into a permanent plan (adoption/guardianship). This is not a need for the baby or else there would be viable options through medical care. It would be amazing if the community could obtain an owlet for this relative to also receive the same reassurance.

We are requesting gift cards for groceries and gas for an at-risk family. Mom is newly single and trying her best to meet the most basic needs of her children so they may have healthy food available throughout the day. This is an added expense that many of our families aren’t able to afford. Mom is trying her best to provide yummy meals for her kiddos while juggling other complicated facets of her life. To fill this need, we are asking for gift cards so this mom may buy groceries and gas and be able to get to work. Thank you for considering our request!

We are sharing a request on behalf of a mom and her two small children. Mom has very old car seats, which is not safe, and she currently does not have a stroller for either child. As one can imagine, it is difficult to grocery shop or do anything with two little ones already! We are hoping to get her two new car seats that attach to a collapsible stroller. Any additional help for baby supplies for a 6-month-old would be appreciated (bottles, diapers, wipes etc). Thank you for your consideration.

The father of a 6 year old girl is currently receiving services from our agency. He is homeless and is working to create stability for himself so that he can sign up for classes at Santa Rosa Jr. College (already being paid for by 2nd Chance Program). He is currently "couch surfing" and having a difficult time because he lost his phone charger, so is frequently missing important calls and having a difficult time keeping in contact with his probation officer, the social worker, and other service providers and his daughter. A phone charger (USB-C) and a small portable battery pack so he can recharge on the go would be really helpful for him so that he can have reliable communication with these different providers. This request is for a family of four who are in need of food resources. The family has had some job instability over the past few weeks and are working towards stabilizing their financial situation. The family is aware of local food banks but some of the food are not enough for the children and family consume. They would really appreciate a visa gift card to purchase food items so they can make meals at home.

We are looking for help to keep these children and mom safe from a domestic violence situation. The cameras (2) would be great at helping the mother take necessary precautions to keep a violent person away from them and ensuring they feel safe at their home. The alarms (4) for windows and doors would also give peace of mind to the family to ensure their physical and emotional safety. Links provided below, but can also be emailed to you upon request. There is a mother of four children doing amazingly on her own raising a newborn, toddler twins, and a preteen. She will be getting a 5 person vehicle, but in order to fit her three young children, she needs the slim car seats, such as the Diono car seat. Any help for getting these car seats would be greatly appreciated!

Mother is struggling with a special needs child. She has another child in a group home, but is a single mother. Her time is spent caring for him throughout the day and needs assistance with keeping her household clean. Gift cards for cleaning supplies and food would be helpful.

Please help this family with a Wifi router. Mom is newly single and is becoming independent after being brave enough to walk away from a harmful relationship. After moving into a new apartment in the middle of the rent cycle, she's had to pay two deposits, and her funds have now been exhausted. This has left her struggling to cover expenses with two small children, including one with special needs. She is seeking assistance for a Wifi router so they can access the Internet and other household needs that require online services. We provided links to Best Buy and Target. We are working with mother and daughter who moved to Sonoma County to support the daughter in her heart transplant journey at Children's Hospital in Stanford. The youth had her surgery in December of 2024 and has had some ongoing complications, placing her in and out of the hospital. Understandably, her mother isn't working so she can care for and support her child. Mother has a boyfriend who was working, but left his job thinking they'd be relocating after the surgery. The mother's boyfriend is looking for work, but in the meantime the family is struggling financially. We'd like to request gas and grocery gift cards for this mother, as well as a Visa (or Target, etc.) card that mom can use to buy things that will make her daughter more comfortable (she's in the hospital currently). ORIGINAL POST: Hi Team, we are assisting a family feeing from a domestic violence situation. They were forced to flee their home. She has two children. She has been at the shelter and was just able to get an apartment for her and her children. She has no furniture. There were able to get two chairs and a small table.
