Grace Bible Church Sebring

A local family in need has been identified by our church. She lost her job and is trying to sell her house because otherwise she is going to lose it. This is one of those situations where circumstances have snowballed into a big mess. She's trying to get back on her feet, but the burden is heavy and discouraging. She needs a hand up. They have food for today and tomorrow. We would like to offer assistance with alleviating some of the bills that are piling up and helping the family to secure quality food options.

We are seeking the funds to pay their electricity bill so that the power can remain on, the phone bill so that she can maintain contact with their realtor as they try to sell the house, and funds for a grocery gift card.

The family is in need of a new bedroom door. The child placed in the home is on track for adoption. However, the child has some trauma related behaviors that has resulted in needing a new bedroom door. The family would like a door to help prevent any injuries and to help sustain the placement. The door needed is a 48in by 80in Solid Core Primed Composite Double Prehung French Door.

The mother was recently reunified with her two young children ages 5 and 3. The 5 year old is a little boy and the 3 year old is a little girl. When these children were reunified with the mother, the previous caregivers did not send any clothes for the 3 year old little girl and only sent clothes that were too big for the little boy. These children do not have any toys that they were allowed to take from the previous caregiver's home. These children really need some clothes and toys so they can start living a normal, healthy life with their mother and each other.

The sizes of clothes for the children are as follows:

The 5 year old little boy: 5t shirts and 4 m pants. The 3 year old little girl: 3t for shirts and pants. Both children like traditional boy and girl colors and themes.

The toys they would like is: the little boy, Sonic, Spiderman, Teenage Mutant Turtles. For the little girl: Dolls and doll clothes, Barbie dolls, little doll strollers. Both children would benefit from the learning leap frog games. They also asked for a hand held water toss games.

A relative caregiver has taken in 3 children back in October of 2024. The caregiver has 5 children of their own in the home as well. The caregiver is in desperate need of a toddler bed for a girl who just turned 2 years old. The child has continued to share a bed with her 15-year-old sister. The caregiver is willing to continue caring for the children and provide them with a safe, stable home while also working full time as a correctional officer. The child enjoys traditional girl colors and themes.

The male child was placed with his grandmother upon removal from the mother's care. The child is now 9 months old and has outgrown all of the clothing that he came to the grandmother with. The grandmother is asking for assistance with size 12 months clothing, wipes, and diapers. This help will allow the grandmother to continue to care for the child outside of foster care and continue to allow the child to bond with the mother through frequent visits. The child is an infant and has no preference for clothing other than size 12 months boy clothing and size 5 diapers.

The caregiver has taken in her 4-month-old grandson after being removed from the parents. The caregiver could benefit from assistance with a crib and bedding. She has been able to provide for the other material needs upon placement of the child. Caregiver has agreed to facilitate the child in a nurturing and safe environment for as long as the child remains unsafe with the parents.

The maternal grandmother took in her 5 grandchildren ages 5 months to 7 years old to keep them together and out of foster care. The grandmother's car, which she uses to transport the children to daycare, school, appointments, and visitations with their mother is now in need of breaks. The grandmother is not yet receiving caregiver funds as this is a new case, and the children have not been adjudicated. The grandmother is requesting assistance to get her breaks fixed so she can continue to care for the children and ensure she is safe while transporting them.
