Referred by TCR: A soon-to-be mother, lost everything in a recent fire in Altadena, including all of her belongings, baby items from her shower, furniture, and a crib. She was displaced and initially stayed at a convention center but was denied reentry upon return. She was referred to a local shelter but was removed from the program after missing days due to hospitalization, leaving her without stable housing. Currently, she is temporarily staying at a Days Inn in Monrovia for five days, supported by My Tribe Rise. Before the fire, she worked as an assistant manager at Dollar King, which also burned down, leaving her without a source of income. She is actively searching for work and stable housing, with Red Cross potentially covering her first and last month’s rent once she secures an apartment. However, she urgently needs basic furniture, a crib, baby essentials, and financial support for daily necessities. She has applied for FEMA and is awaiting an update but has not received assistance from any other organizations. Her only immediate family, a sister, is also struggling and unable to provide support. Immediate Needs include Gift cards for food, transportation, and hygiene essentials. She is facing an overwhelming situation as she prepares to welcome her baby. Any support from the community will help her regain stability and ensure she has the essential items needed for herself and her child.

Mother is in reunification phase with her 8 year old autistic son. Mother has excelled in her case plan and recently graduated from classes. Mother is very accountable and recently acquired a job. Mother's employer is paying her just over minimum wage. She has a two bedroom home that she is responsible for financially. Mother also pays all of her own utilities. Mother uses a tablet to Facetime visits with her son three days a week after school. Mother's cell phone bill has soared and was recently shut down for lack of payment. We are asking for monetary support for her cell phone / tablet bill to ensure she continues these visits during the week. Mother was recently granted unmonitored visits with her son twice a week. Unfortunately her son resides over 125 miles away from mother. Mother would also benefit with support for gasoline expenses to continue visiting her son in person. Mother has to drive to visit with her son twice a week. We are asking for monetary support for this mother so she can afford to drive to see her son. We are extremely proud of this mother and everything she has done and continues to do to excel in her goal of reunification. Monetary support would greatly benefit this mother and son on their path to reunification.

This grandmother is caring for her two grandchildren and is overjoyed to have them in her care. However, she was not fully prepared to become the primary caregiver at her age. She needs a small table with 2-3 chairs and a 3-person sofa for her apartment, so the children have a place to eat, complete their homework, and relax together. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated by her!

Client is a senior on a fixed income, who also has custody of her 11 year old grandson with special needs. Client was a renter in the home that was destroyed, and unfortunately did not have renter's insurance due to limited income. Client's car was damaged while fleeing at 1:00am from a branch that fell; she did not have liability insurance on her car. Client does receive limited government assistance for her grandson and shared she was already struggling financially pre disaster. The financial assistance will be able to help client obtain household goods, food, and other assistance needed to recovery from disaster

I am requesting financial assistance for a disabled, 45 yr old single father with 2 children, ages 15 and 13. The client lives in Pasadena close to the affected areas of the Eaton Canyon Fire. His home was not destroyed but it was deemed unlivable by FEMA inspectors due to smoke damage, ash and soot. The client and his children are currently staying with family members until he is able to return to the home. He is on a fixed income and will need help with replacing mattresses for everyone in the home as well as clothing and furniture. Due to his disability, the client depends on his caregiver for many things. His caregiver will be assisting him with cleanup of the home and hopes to be back within the coming weeks. The client did apply for FEMA and has received assistance to pay for his current temporary housing. He is also utilizing whatever help is available within the community. The client could really benefit from receiving whatever type of financial assistance he can get to safely return to his home with his children.

The client is a single 40 year old female, who was displaced by the Eaton fire due to smoke and ash damage to the property she was renting. The client has been staying at a hotel but has not been able to work, and her bills that need to be paid, including her phone, personal items, gas money and having to replace things and get food, and clothing.

This request is for a senior couple, ages 70 and 68, who were affected by the Eaton Fire. The couple was living in a rental that was damaged by the smoke, ash and soot and it needs to be completely restored. The couple was staying in a hotel provided by his renter's insurance but that came to an end and he was forced to use his credit cards to help pay for hotels and Airbnbs. The client has maxed out his credit cards and does not have anywhere to go after checkout of his AirBnb on 2/14/2025. The client has been in contact with his landlord who has promised that he and his wife can return to the home as soon as remediation is completed and it is safe for them to return. It is unknown how long that will take. His landlord suggested looking for a short term rental. The client is on a fixed income and is in need of financial assistance. Their clothing was taken by a company who specializes in cleaning fire affected clothing and he needs help with under garments. The couple has had to throw out their furniture and mattresses and will need help with replacing those items as well. I am requesting financial assistance to help this elderly couple get back on their feet.

Client is a single female, with 1 dog; Home was destroyed in the Eaton Fire she rented. Client had renters insurance with Farmers; claim is pending as she still needs to complete the forms to account for everything in the home. She also shared she applied for FEMA and Red Cross, however applications are pending as well. Client is still employed and works hybrid as a Sales Representative. Client received emergency housing accommodations with Hilton on 2/13/2025; check out date is 2/20/2025 and would need additional accommodations. Prior to Hilton stay, the client was staying with family and friends, who also provided financial assistance to purchase clothes and other living necessities.

This request is on behalf of my client who is a fire vitcim of the Eaton fire. Victim was a renter with no renters insurance and property was destroyed. The victim is a female who had just moved to California less than 6 months ago. She has no family or friends in California. Victim was living in her car as she was awaiting for a Hiton coucher. Victim was placed in a Hilton for 1 week, she was trying to get an extention but wasnt possible. Since she's been at an Airbnb using her own money but her funds are about to run out. She wil be back living in her car. Victim was out of work due to being displaced and facing an extreme amount of financial problems. She is looking for rooms to rent. This request will help my client tremendously in the first steps to rebuilding her life.

This request is being made on behalf of my client who is 60+ years of age with a minor son living with a disability and needs costly medication. Their home was completly distroyed along with their vehicle. Victim is sharing a home with her draughter where it is crowed, she is helping pay rent at the moment where money is tight. Client is Needs place quickly, living inside grandaughters room with a full house. Client is currently renting a car with out of pocket unexpected expenses. My client is currently looking for a rental where credit check costs ect are occuring. My hope is that this request will help with those unexpected out of pocket expenses and provide a bit of normality to the family during this time

A female client age 8 and a male client age 7 are need of school uniforms. They currently have two uniforms that mom was able to afford on her own. The clients live with mom only, who is currently with them full time. The clients could use at least another two to three uniforms. Each uniform outfit cost $40.00. The male client reported that he gets bullied a lot at school. However, he did not share more specifics other than he was bullied. He had on his school uniform and it looked like he had food on it, as well as it being faded. The female client also had on her uniform that looked faded. Mom reported that she would be very grateful if she was able to get assistance with the uniforms. Thank you in advance.
