Help Preserve a Kinship Placement
Maternal grandmother is in the process of building a relationship with her infant granddaughter. This will done through unsupervised visits coordinated with the licensed placement. Maternal grandmother expressed a need for extra support to help with the bonding between herself and the infant. These items include diapers, formula, and cribs/toys that are developmentally appropriate for a 1-2 month old infant. Maternal Grandmother could use some of these concrete supports to help foster a more infant orientated environment in the household. When this need is met, Maternal Grandmother will be able to focus more on developing a bond with the newborn instead of having to focus on meeting concrete needs. Prolonged contact between Maternal Grandmother and infant granddaughter is being highly encouraged by DCS. These concrete needs will help support the transition from no infants in the home to having an infant in the home.

Help Reunify a Bio Family
Mother's car is not working and may have issues with overheating. The car needs to be looked at, in person, to determine the issue and provide a more accurate estimate for the cost of repairs. Her car allows her to attend work and participate in the services provided by the department. Once her car is fixed, she can work and participate in services which help with the goal of family reunification.

Help Strengthen a Bio Family
A single mother of two children is requesting bedroom furniture items for her children after spending a majority of her savings to move into a new apartment. This single mother has two daughters of the age of 7 and 4. The family recently moved into a new, one bedroom apartment and is requesting two dressers for the families' clothes and other items to be stored. Currently, the family's clothes and other items are kept in a pile in the bedroom which leads to difficulty finding items in the morning before school or leaving the home which causes them to be late to school or other events. By providing the family new dressers, the family will save money in order to support the children in other ways.

Help Reunify a Bio Family
Biological grandmother has been raising her three grandchildren since they were babies and for about the last ten years. Through financial hardships, personal tragedy and school trauma, she and the children have been experiencing homelessness. Since the Department's involvement, grandmother has been able to find housing for the four of them and their dog as well. The children are happy to have a place they can visit and soon call home. Although there is no furniture, and very little means to purchase the necessary fixtures of a home, they all are willing to spend nights on the floor if it means spending more time together. We are asking for support in providing three beds for the children to sleep in so they can actually start spending overnight visits at home and less nights at the group home.

The two boys do not have beds and are needing some; The boys are currently sleeping on the couch. At this time Mother does not have the funds to provide beds for them or the frame. She works full time and does doordash to make ends meet. Due to their room being small, bunk beds will be best. With it now being summer, the family will be in the home more.Â

A Family in Need of a Lifeline
We’re reaching out on behalf of one of our client families who is facing a difficult season. The father recently lost his job, and although the mother is working full time, her income alone isn’t enough to sustain the household. Despite their best efforts, they are struggling to cover basic needs—gas, rent, and utilities—and are in urgent need of support.
This is a hardworking family that isn’t looking for a handout, but a hand up. They have been actively engaged in our parenting program, consistently attending classes and using their earned baby bucks to purchase diapers and wipes. Their commitment to growth, stability, and their children’s well-being is evident.
The mother’s love for her children is inspiring. She is currently pregnant with her third child. She has an 11 y/o daughter and 3 y/o son. She faithfully brings them to the center, including her sweet pre-teen daughter who adores her baby brother. They are doing all they can—but right now, they just need a little help to bridge the gap until the father can secure new employment.
If you feel led to help, your generosity—whether through a gas card, rental assistance, or support with utility bills—would mean the world to this family. Together, we can be the lifeline they need to move forward with hope and dignity.
Thank you for considering how you can make a difference. 💛
