ACS is working with a single mom with 5 children who has been living in a DV situation. The father is no longer in the home and the mother has asked for a safety transfer. She has no furniture and everything they have is packed in a living room as she wats for the transfer. Mom and the children are sleeping in one room and have no air conditioning. She is desperate for some relief for her and the children and is asking for one a/c so they can sleep more comfortably. The children range from 10 months old to 14 years old. The children also need summer clothes.

Single head of a household that is experiencing financial hardship. Mom is not working mow due to alot of medical issues. Mom has horrible back, shoulder pains,.She is on auto immune medications. She recently was put on heart monitoring. She has 2 sons ages 4 and 7. They have out grown their toddler mattresses and would like to have assistance in getting them new mattresses. She has had a bunk set donated with no mattresses and at this time she don't know when she could get them. Your hrlp will be very much appreciated

This mom is a member of the LGBT community. She has a teen son. This request is not for him. This mom was recently awarded custody of 2 autistic children. The boys foster mom was a great friend. She died and she left the children for her guardianship . The boys biological mother has HIV and doesn't have the will or capacity to care for them. Without this moms acceptance these boys would probably be separated . With the help of family and friends she has gotten them clothing since she brought them down from upstate. She is staying with her mom in Brooklyn and they are sharing a couch . Although mom is working and finding accommodations for child care she is still lacking and has needs . Although mom was awarded guardianship she was not given any financial assistance . She needs beds , bedding, dressers, pull-ups and wipes . Both boys are non verbal , have sensory issues and have very picky eating habits . Please pray for this family. She has begun to take the boys to church after years of not feeling welcomed there, but she stated that they must have a foundation . Please help support this selfless mom who has changed her life for the betterment of others .

As the hot summer months approach, we have a family in need of Fans (2 if possible, for separate bedrooms areas). The apartment is very hot with no proper circulations.

Unemployed parents with three children in the home, dealing with various medical issues, such as asthma, high blood pressure and severe allergies do not have a cooling system in their home . Due to the increased temperatures this week and the summer in general, it is imperative that this family have an air conditioner and box fans to keep a comfortable temperature in their home to avoid any other potential health risks.

Teenage daughter was trafficked while mom was out of the country. The daughter is healing and growing in a residential setting. Mom is back in New York and just got an apartment and is currently in need of furniture for the home and daughter.

Unemployed single mom of 5 children ages ranging from 5 months-18 years old, is going through a financial hardship. Her EBT card was recently stolen and she is using the limited funds she has at the moment on groceries to feed her children. The family is living in a very high-crime area where they are sometimes afraid to leave their apartment. This family is in need of groceries, cleaning items and baby items. The mother is requesting diapers and wipes for her newborn, baby laundry detergent, cleaning supplies and plastic portable storage drawers from Target.

A resilient young mother is currently facing a difficult chapter. With a 6-month-old baby and a nearly 6-year-old daughter depending on her, she recently suffered a serious foot injury after a fall. This injury has left her unable to work and severely limited her ability to travel or access resources.

Despite her strength and determination, the strain of caring for two young children without income or reliable mobility is immense. Her family urgently needs support: summer clothing for both daughters (size 6 mo. and larger, size 6 and up for the older daughter who likes pink), These basic needs are critical to ensuring the health, comfort, and dignity of her children during this vulnerable time.

My client is a single mother of an almost three year old toddler. She is employed full time, but has little disposable income as her daycare costs and living expenses leave her with little disposable income. We are reaching out on behalf of a mother , unemployed mother currently residing in New York with her two children. She is actively seeking employment while attending school, working hard to build a better future for her family. At present, a caregiver is assisting with the family's basic needs, including rent, electricity, and food.

The family is new to our mentorship program, and we are committed to helping strengthen and support them as they work toward greater stability and independence.

Immediate Need: We are requesting a twin bed and mattress for her son. Providing this essential item will help create a more organized and supportive home environment. A designated space for the child to sleep and store personal belongings will greatly contribute to his academic focus, social development, and overall well-being.
