This family is in need of food. The recent power outage resulted in the food in the refrigerator to spoil. There is a special needs child in the home which makes this request more urgent. The special needs child is hooked up to many medical devices and needs 24 hour care. The family states the replacement cost to be $100.00 to $150.00.

A family in the area is needing assistance with obtaining a new bunk bed and twin mattress. The family is struggling to make ends meet and unable to financially cover the cost of obtaining these items on their own. The bunk bed they have that the two young boys share is broken and has caused damage to the mattress currently being used. This family has and is being connected with other support in the area to meet their basic needs. Please consider helping this family in this time of need to help ensure that the young man who sleeps on this mattress is able to get the rest he needs so that he can function his best during the days. The family has also indicated that they may need help covering the cost of their electric bill, but further details will be provided if needed.

The department is working with a newly separated mother of 2.
This mother recently had to have her car repaired, luckily, a family member has allowed mom to use a truck of theirs, but the increased amount she is spending on gas has made paying her mechanic that much harder. I am hoping you all can help mom pay her mechanic, get her car back, in turn, helping mom to get her feet back on the ground.

We are working with a mother whose son is in foster care (he was not removed from the mother, but a prior custodian). The mother just recently had her son placed back in her home. Her mother, the child's grandmother, recently passed away and that was some of the income within the household. The mother is receiving assistance with home repairs from the community. Right after her son was placed in her home, her car broke down and it is too expensive to repair and get out of the tow lot. At this time, she is in need of a car to be able to get her son to and from necessary appointments. The family is near their goal of return home and transportation is their only barrier at this time.

A family was displaced from their home due to a fire in which they lost everything. There are two adults along with two teenage boys who are need of items.

Mother has 3 children and due to concerns of sexualized behaviors between the children they had to be separated and placed in different homes. Mother has two of the children with her and the other child is now staying with his grandmother in Franklin County. Mom is also pregnant and no longer works at her long time job at Dynax. Father is in the home but disabled and currently has no income. Mom stated that she does not have money for coats for her children and was too late to put in Angel tree request or apply for help at the Salvation Army. Oldest male wears 16-18 boys coat. Middle child female 12-14 kids coat youngest male 8-10 boys coat. Mom also is asking for help to buy the brakes for her car as she can not afford the parts. she stated it would cost 150.00 for the brakes and her husband is able to put them on. Any help available would be greatly appreciated.
