I am working with a family who has three elementary school aged children. The family has struggled with roaches and bed bugs for a while now. The family has taken their own personal efforts to treat the home, however who they have been using to spray does not seem to be helping. Funds are getting low for the family, and they have not been able to hire anyone to spray consistently. I would like to find some assistance in possibly getting at least 4 consistent treatments done for the home. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

A family of six is currently experiencing significant hardship and is in urgent need of assistance with obtaining cell phones and food. The parents of four daughters are currently homeless and lack access to a phone, which severely limits their ability to communicate with service providers, DSS, and other community resources. The communication barrier has prevented their ability to receive the support they need, however, with consistent communication the family can be provided more effective assistance.

Additionally, the family does not have access to food or water on days when community resources are unavailable. They also do not have transportation at this which has further hindered their situation.

Despite these obstacles, the family has demonstrated initiative by actively seeking out available resources and has clearly expressed a strong desire for help in order to be available for their children. Fulfillment of these needs will empower these parents to move forward in their goals and improve their well-being.

It is noted that two phones would be helpful, however, one will suffice if necessary.

Biological mother is achieving return home with her two toddlers. Their home does not have AC and she is asking for two AC window unit for her children's bedroom and living room.

Family in need of diapers and wipes for the little one. Size of diapers are 2/3. Due to the family having water issues with leaks and fixing that problem. They are needing a little help to get diapers and wipes at this time.

You have helped this family before. This family needs assistance with groceries. In the past, the family has gone to food pantries but reported they do not provide enough food to feed everyone and it is only on certain days. This is challenging due to issues with transportation. They have to borrow a vehicle. There are four adults in the household. One of the adults is on disability and the other has medical problems and therefore cannot work. There are two children in the household. Due to health issues and transportation issues, it would be easier for them to have groceries brought to them. They like hamburger, chicken nuggets, pizza bites, veggies, bread, eggs, sugar, juice, milk, cheese, pasta. Guardian reported they like anything and are not picky, they just want meals, snacks and water). Whatever provided would be helpful. They also are in need of baby things like (Huggies little mover size 4), Children's Tylenol liquid grape Flavor, and Huggies wipes. The child has reactions to things, so Huggies is the only brand they use.

We are looking to help a young mom of 4 children. Her second oldest son is severely autistic (non-verbal), and suffers from ARFID (Avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder). He attends a school year round in Wytheville, but specific foods have to be provided to the school, and of course at home too. She does have food assistance, however much of the funds are consumed by his very specific food requirements. We are entering this request in the form of a monthly "sponsorship", hoping that multiple churches, individuals, organizations will sign up to sponsor 1 month over the course of the next year. We believe we will then enter a new request the following year.

The mom has suggested that the food be delivered directly to the school (which would cover 2 of his 3 meals each day), or food items can be provided to her home (in Pulaski County). Addresses will be provided for those who sign up to help. Food needs to be delivered to either the school or her home by the 15th of the month that you sign up to help. Specific food items include: 6 boxes (family size) of Nabisco Chicken in a Biskit crackers ($36), 4 bags Doritos spicy Chile flavor ($24), 3 12 packs Lipton Diet Green tea ($21) and 4 boxes Kroger Brand strawberry frosted pastries ($10) - total around $100 per month.

Two children in foster care who plan to be on a trial home placement in coming months. Anticipation to begin overnights in coming weeks. Family is in need of two beds. Family ideally would like bunk beds that could eventually be separated into two twin beds or a twin bed over a full bunk bed.

She depends on her vehicle to take her kids to essential doctor’s appointments and to get to work every day. Right now, her car tires are worn out and unsafe. Hello! We have a family who could use some help with groceries. This family is a placement for one of our children and need a little relief financially with the child being home for the summer. This could help tremendously! A little assistance can help preserve this placement! A grocery card would be helpful so that the family may shop for what they need!

A mother who is working to reunify with her 4 young children, a 10 year old male, and three females ages 8, 7, and 6. The mother reports she will need assistance with securing beds for the children, but she reports she can obtain the other bedroom furniture that they will need. The mother has reported that she has painted and had housing fix the broken parts of her home and she is now ready to start preparing their rooms. The Department is requesting 4 twin beds and 4 twin mattresses. Assistance with bedding and pillows for each child could also be very helpful. Due to the children having special needs, bunk beds are not being requested. Thank you for your consideration!

Seeking support for an 11-month-old baby girl who has been in CDSS care since birth. She is currently placed with her paternal aunt, who has been actively meeting all of the baby’s developmental and emotional needs.

As the baby was born small and has experienced some developmental delays, she has been able to safely use her current sleeping arrangement until now. However, she has grown significantly and now requires a larger crib to continue to meet her needs safely. Her aunt is requesting assistance in providing a new crib for this child. Any support would be greatly appreciated to help ensure her continued growth, safety, and well-being.
