A family of seven is currently facing significant challenges. The father, who was the primary provider, was recently detained by immigration authorities, leaving the mother to care for their five children alone. She is taking on small jobs, but it has been difficult as three of the children are not yet in school, and they lack transportation. Additionally, the mother does not have a support network in the area. Financial strain has been substantial, and the family is awaiting the father's court date at the end of the month to determine their next steps. They do not receive any form of assistance and are currently residing in a motel. The mother is seeking help to cover at least one week’s rent. She has been visiting food pantries but has been unable to secure any meat for the family. The two older children who are in school are in need of shoes as their current pairs no longer fit (Male size 10Y / Female size 11Y/ Female Adult Size 8). The mother appreciates any assistance that can be provided, understanding that not all needs may be met.

A family that is in desperate need of help with furnishing their new home is struggling to create a safe, comfortable, and functional environment for their special needs child. The family is hoping for a new start after being misplaced due to a fire burning down their previous home. The child who is nonverbal autistic needs specialized furniture to ensure their safety. The family continues to struggle with finances due to the parent having multiple medical conditions to where they are unable to work and earn an income. They are unable to afford the specialized items their child requires like sensory - friendly furniture. As they settle into their new home, the lack of basic furniture and home goods has become a source of anxiety for them. Basic furniture is needed to furnish the child's room such as a twin bed, twin mattress, twin bed frame and dresser. Basic home good items such as silverware, plates, bowls, pots, and pans are needed as well. These items will significantly help the family create a space where the child can thrive, feel secure and have the same opportunities and comfort as others.

The caseworker has been informed by the children's school that they have have lice. The mom informed the Caseworker that she has been having pest issues. The home is infested with roaches and the family has bed bugs.

The home consists of a single mother and two teenage boys. The family is in need of financial assistance for groceries in the home.

I am reaching out for assistance in obtaining a mattress and box spring for a child who is currently sleeping on the floor. His father works part-time and is struggling to make ends meet, so he is unable to afford a mattress for his son. As a result, the child is not getting restful sleep at night, which is affecting his energy and focus at school. This lack of proper rest is taking a toll on his well-being, and I am hopeful that with a mattress and box spring, he will be able to get the sleep he needs to succeed academically and feel better physically. Emergency placement of two children ages 6 and 10 with their bio-father due to neglect and substance abuse by their mother. A pair of bunk beds would ensure that two siblings get to remain together, in the same home, and provide familiarity (as they had bunk beds in their previous residence) while reducing the financial strain from having to start over.

Father has been caring for his daughter since the passing of the child's mother. Father has completed services and has been doing a wonderful job staying on track. Father takes the initiative to go above and beyond to remain sober and focused on caring for his child. Father fell behind on rent due to switching jobs to have a more manageable work schedule for his daughter's school. Father has a plan to stay on track with his rent moving forward. Father needs assistance getting caught up.
