A young family in our parenting program with a special needs child is expecting baby #3. Although they are working, due to the care needed for the special needs child, they must borrow from savings monthly to pay basic bills, and do not qualify for any financial assistance. As they prepare for baby #3, they are looking for a used dresser and bookcase for storage and organization. Thank you for your consideration of this need!

The family is facing a lot of complex medical issues and financial difficulties due to loss of a job by father. Two of the children (ages 11yrs and 7 yrs) have medical conditions that need constant care and require specialty diets. Parents need help with cleaning supplies, food support (Walmart gift cards), household items, and hygiene items. The support provided will offer relief so parents can focus on working with medical and service providers and securing employment.

Mom is a single parent with eight children who range from ages 18 yrs to 18 months. The family recently moved into a new home. Mom needs help with cleaning supplies, household items, hygiene products, and food support (Walmart gift cards). The support provided will offer relief so Mom can focus on establishing stability for the children and connecting to service providers to meet some of the children's mental health needs.

Grandparents recently obtained custody of their grandchildren who are ages 10 yrs, 9 yrs, and 6 yrs. Grandparents need help with cleaning supplies, hygiene products, household items, and food support (gift cards to Walmart). The support provided will offer relief so grandparents can focus on establishing stability for the children and connecting to service providers to meet the children's mental and developmental needs.

A 19-year-old single mother and her 2-year-old daughter have just moved into their first apartment today after experiencing homelessness. While they are excited to start this new chapter, they are in urgent need of essential household items to help make their space feel like home. High on their list are pots and pans, as well as towels and cleaning supplies (dish soap, bathroom cleaner, toilet paper, laundry detergent, lysol, trash bags, body wash, glass cleaner) to help them maintain a safe and comfortable living environment. Any support would mean the world to this young family as they work toward stability and a fresh start.

This family consists of a mother and her two children. One of her children has a medical disability that impacts their gross motor and cognitive development. The mother has recently been struggling with family conflict, grief and loss of a sibling, and trying to maintain parenting with few additional supports. The mother has engaged in self-medicating coping mechanisms, but is working hard to address this and requesting assistance. The mother expressed to me that she is sharing a twin bed with one of her children, which is physically impacting them both. The bed is falling apart causing unsafe sleep, and the mattress is sloped so they are falling into each other during bedtime. This is impacting her and her child's ability to sleep, as well as her child's behavior in school which has impacted their learning.

The request: 2 twin size beds with a mattress for each bed.

This need being met would ensure that the mother and child are able to have their own beds, get sufficient sleep, and create independence and a safe space. The need being met would also help the mother financially, as she does not have the stability nor financial assistance to get two separate bed/mattress combinations for herself and her child. Her second child already has a bed of their own due to the disability, and this is impacting the child who does not have their own bed. The request not being met will continue to put a strain on the family system, resulting in another burden for the family to face.

This is a family with mom and her four children who have had some significant financial struggles that have impacted their family. Mom has had difficulty with work because of the needs of some of the children requiring her to be at the school or involved in other services. This family will greatly benefit from this community support. None of the family members have any allergies or dietary restrictions. Children are 5 years old up to teenagers.

This 17 year old youth has moved back home to a single parent home. He has struggled this last year. He is interested in applying for colleges and creating videos. He needs a desk and chair to help him be productive, make more videos, do homework and plan for his future. He is currently working at a fast food joint and saving all the money he can for a car and any other tools to help him be independent.

This family has been homeless for over a year and have been living in a shelter for the majority of the time. They finally have their own housing but due to being in the shelter, they do not have household items to truly make their house feel like a home. Additionally, mom and her children (boys ages 5 & 6, girl age 3) struggle with PTSD due to many of the things they have been through, and having comfortable and stable housing will give them more opportunities to take care of their mental health.

Her children's attendance at school has not been very good due to their housing difficulties, and now that they have housing we hope that it will improve. They are smart kids but missing out on so much instruction has caused them to fall behind. They love being at school and we hope so much that they will be able to come as much as possible.

Any amount of groceries would be a huge help. Any amount of cleaning supplies and dishes/pots/pans would be very helpful for the family of 4.

Single mom experiencing homelessness with three children (11 year old, 4 year old and 1.5 year old). Family is struggling with basic needs and paying off a bill of about $1300 from their old apartment building. Family is on a payment plan for past bill. Basic needs include wipes, diapers (size 5 and 6), food and gas cards. Anything helps!

The family lost their housing and are currently living in a hotel. They lost many of their items and mom is seeking help with housing, clothing, and food (groceries or Walmart gift cards) for her and her 4 children. Their sizes are below:

2 boys size 6; 1 girl size 2T; 1 girl size 9-12 months; size 5 diapers (I estimated a pack of about 130 at $55 but any amount is great.) Biggest clothing needs are pants, long-sleeve shirts, and socks/underwear.

I also estimated $200 for groceries for a family of 5 but any amount would be helpful.

Mom is a single mom with 3 kids and has fallen behind on her utility bills due to being unemployed for a time. She is employed again but is struggling to catch up due to the rising cost of living. She is seeking any amount of possible financial support and food support for her family.
