I am working with a family who has three elementary school aged children. The family has struggled with roaches and bed bugs for a while now. The family has taken their own personal efforts to treat the home, however who they have been using to spray does not seem to be helping. Funds are getting low for the family, and they have not been able to hire anyone to spray consistently. I would like to find some assistance in possibly getting at least 4 consistent treatments done for the home. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Child is currently placed with paternal great aunt. This is a kinship placement process with this family. Parents have not been taking formula for the child, due to having visitation suspended. There was a CarePortal request for Gentle Ease Enfamil, but wrong formula was delivered. DSS is asking for assistance with this in the form of formula, or a gift card to Walmart so that she may purchase, though aunt is currently recovering from knee surgery and not able to drive..

A family of 6 is currently in emergent need of housing. The family is comprised of two grandparents caring for their four granddaughters; one of which is only a few weeks old. This family has recently been evicted from their home and have been staying in a motel while searching for housing, however, they will no longer have the funds to continue their stay past 6/17. With no housing the children are at risk of coming into foster care as they need a safe environment to reside. This risk could be resolved with the extension of the motel while the Department assists the family in finding housing.

A single mother of two small children that is also expecting a new child in August who is in need of some assistance. Mom is unemployed at this time as she moves closer to her due date of the new baby. Her oldest daughter is need of a car seat were she has out grown her current seat. She is a 48 lb. toddler.

This female teenager has found a great placement at a home where her friend also lives. She is in need of a full sized mattress. She already has the platform/bed frame so no box spring is needed. We hope this will be the final touch to help her feel comfortable at her new home.

The family consists of mom and her three children. She works hard to care for them. She has requested assistance with new beds for the two oldest children (twin bed frame + mattress) as well as diapers for the youngest child. The family currently has bunk beds but the mattresses have worn out and the mother has requested two separate beds for the children, rather than bunk beds. DSS is also assisting with putting in referrals for services for the family. Please consider helping this family!

Children are placed outside of the home due to substance use by parent and where they were residing is not appropriate for the children to be there (dirty home). Daughter is placed with her grandmother who helped raise her. Caretaker does work with school, but is out for 3 months and on fixed income, she needs help with some necessities. Child needs personal items like underwear and socks and shoes, some clothing. FSS Brown is asking CarePortal for a Walmart gift card.

I'm working with a mom and her 2-year-old son. She has a few different court fines to pay out of Campbell County and Bedford County. This request is being made to help her get back on her feet, and to move forward. She just got a job, and she is working through services. This would help her meet her goal, and to be able to focus on more time building a relationship with her child.

Bio mother recently lost her employment and is working a return home goal for her child, she and her partner are seeking new employment and are at rick of losing their apartment on 6/13. They have court that day for their eviction. They are in need of the money to cover past due and current rent of $1570 ASAP. If they lose housing, return home will not be an option for the child.

I am working with a family that has one child in foster care. The family is willing to establish a relationship with a church. The father is in need of weekly rides to his services. Note appointments are typically on Wednesday afternoons/evenings. The Department feels that if the father has regular transportation with a positive role model this could increase the ability of the family to get their child back.

The child was recently placed with her grandmother. The grandmother works for the schools, but has no extra income for another person and no income in the summer besides what she has set aside for bills. She would like help getting the child basic needs like toiletries, pads/tampons, clothing, etc

Single mother of child under a year-old needs financial assistance with her vehicle tags and registration. She recently purchased the vehicle and since has had to make several repairs to it as it has had several different mechanical issues. This mother is currently enrolled in a recovery court program for substance use challenges and relies heavily on having a vehicle for transportation and participation in the program. She also as previously stated has a small child so reliable and legal transportation is a must here as well. She has been able to try to manage all the repairs herself which has left her with little income. Other financial resources have been exhausted with little success. Any assistance would be appreciated.
