This mother and two children are located here in Marion, VA. The mother and two children have gotten away from a domestic violence situation with biological father. The children are in need of beds. The oldest is is a boy 4-5 years of age and the youngest is a girl 3-4 years of age. They are both in need of beds, and due to them being small I would think the 4–5-year-old would do fine with a twin bed, and the 3–4-year-old maybe a toddler bed that converts into a twin bed.

The department is currently working with a mother who is in need of assistance with gas money. The mother is having to travel to Martinsville and back to Hillsville every other weekend for visitation with her daughter and is in need of financial assistance.

We have a family in need of some bill assistance. The father was just recently hospitalized due to a dangerous viral infection. This is now leaving him out of work for the foreseeable future until treatment is working consistently. They already had a friend assist with their electric bill for this month, but any assistance for their water and mortgage payment would be greatly appreciated!

This child is a 10-year-old girl that attends Oak point Elementary here in Marion Virginia. She is having a hard time desiring to get up and go to school in the morning, as well as feeling valued. She speaks of wanting to be able to see her biological mother but due to reasons that cannot be shared she cannot at this time. She is living with her biological father and his girlfriend. When visited at school and asked what she needs at home she states that she would like an old timey typewriter as well as a mini fridge. This child is also in need of just companionship with someone. They have recently moved into a new apartment and are getting on their feet. The child's immediate needs are being met she just has wishes, like all little girls do.

An elementary aged child and parents are in need of help paying an electric bill. The child's mother is currently unemployed. The father is employed. The parents had been making payments for a while until other issues occurred and the service was cut off. The mother had the account with her sister and didn't realize that sister stopped paying the agreed amount until after she left the area. DSS is not able to assist the family with the cost and there is no CPS concerns at this time. The family currently has a generator to help with heating, water, and cooking. Receiving assistance to pay for the bill will help the student and family's physical needs to maintain stability. According to what the parent shared, the current bill is due on March 3, 2025.

Mother has turned her life around and is working to get both of her children back. She has gotten a place to call her own and her oldest daughter (15 years old) is living with her now after being in foster care, and she is still working toward getting her youngest daughter back (4 years old). The mother and children are in need of everything to furnish a three-bedroom apartment. The mother has requested 2 beds (full or queen), as she has one for the 4-year-old, couch, loveseat, kitchen table/chairs, 3 dressers, lamps, dishes, silverware, pots, pans, and towels both for kitchen use and bathroom use. Raygan (15 years old) enjoys horses, Andi (4 years old) horses and cows as well.

Most needs were met next day! However still in need of a dresser for the mother, a dresser each for both of the girls, and a couch and loveseat!

Requesting baby items for a girl such as clothing, diapers, etc. for a family involved with CPS. The due date is late March and the family have large items such as crib, carseat, stroller from another child, but state that they do not have anything in the way of smaller things such as clothing, diapers, etc.

An elementary female student newly returned to Rhea Valley. The family would appreciate assistance with a pair of shoes (the student prefers Crocs, size 8 women).

Student and her family suffered a house fire last weekend resulting in them losing all of their belongings. Student and family are currently staying with a family friend. Student, mother, and little sister are in need of clothing items at this time. Student wears a medium in shirts/underwear, size 6 or 7 in pants, and a 36c in bras/sports bras, and a size 8 in shoes. Student's little sister wears 4t clothing and size 9c shoe. Student's mother wears size small shirt/underwear, size 3 in pants, and size 6 in shoes. By meeting this need it will reduce some anxiety and stress for the student during her school day.

TCDSS has been involved with a family which consists of a single mother and her daughter who is 5 years old. They are struggling with getting necessary supplies due to financial strain or hardship in order to clean their home appropriately and to maintain cleanliness. They are in need of household cleaners. The daughter is in need of some clothing also due to the financial limitations of the mother at this time. the daughter has need for some clothes too and is a Girls Size 7-8 and Girls size shoe 12. She is in need of hygiene products also and has had lice recently and needs lice treatment.

One CCMS student and a smaller sibling are in need of two twin size mattresses for their bunk beds after moving here in December.

The Department is working with a mother and her 6 year old daughter. The mother is rebuilding her life and is having to start over. The mother recently obtained an apartment and is in need of furnishings and items for the apartment in order for her daughter to come home. I attempted to itemize the items she is in need of the but the system keeps crashing when I do so.

The mother is in need of a COUCH, WASHER, DRYER, MICROWAVE, REFRIDGERATOR STAND-ARD SIZE, ONE QUEEN SIZE AND I FULL SIZE BED WITH MATTRESSES WITH BOX SPRINGS, 2 CHESTER DRESSERS, DISHES, CUPS, GLASSES, BAKING DISHES POTS, PANS, SILVERWARE, BATH TOWELS, DISHCLOTHS, DISH TOWELS, WASH CLOTHS, SHEETS AND BLANKETS FOR THE BEDS
