She is having her baby next week and needs basic items for the child to return home with her. Assistance in providing a car seat and crib or bassinet will provide safety and comfort for her newborn baby.

A 46-year-old former military wife and proud mother to a service member is currently living in her car—a heartbreaking reality she’s faced since hurricanes displaced her last November. She now struggles to care for herself, dealing with serious medical issues while trying to survive alone. She wears a heart monitor, relies on a pacemaker, and needs a CPAP machine to breathe safely at night—when she can power it. Her only source of power is a battery pack she charges through her car. But now the car battery has died, leaving her without air conditioning in the heat, no way to charge medical devices, and no means to deliver food through Uber Eats—her only income. Despite everything, she remains determined. She’s working with her Hope Navigator and other agencies to find a safer path forward, since her former career is no longer an option with her disabilities. She’s resourceful and advocates for herself daily. Her car is now her shelter and lifeline. Recently, she spent nearly all her money on new brakes and tires. She now urgently needs a new car battery, hearing aid batteries—without which she can barely hear—and a gas card to attend medical and social service appointments. She has given so much. A devoted mother living with disabilities has been quietly fighting an uphill battle to rebuild her life—not only for herself, but for her 6-year-old daughter, who is autistic. Every step forward has come at great personal cost. Through relentless determination, she has managed to secure steady work and recently moved into a small home. But starting over has left her emotionally and financially drained. Their new house, though a blessing, comes with its own challenges. The yard is wildly overgrown, and she worries constantly about the safety of her daughter—fearing snakes, insects, and other unseen dangers hiding in the tall grass. With no garage or shed, she dreams of having a simple gas-powered lawn mower and a cover to keep it safe from the elements, just so her daughter can play outside without fear. The little girl’s behavior therapist recently recommended some sensory-friendly toys that could help her learn and grow—things like a Barbie Dream House or a small inflatable kiddie pool. But right now, those small joys are painfully out of reach. Client is a single mother with 2 children, due to a domestic violent incident, she had to leave her home. They are currently living in a hotel room until she can find an affordable place to live. She has 2 jobs but is struggling to pay for gas so she can get back and forth to work. I would like to request a gas card for mom, any amount would be greatly appreciated.

I need beds for one of my cases. There are 3 children one of them is a 10-year-old special needs and he sleeps with his father on the same bed (currently sleeping on a queen—full of mold) they sleep together because the father checks on him during the night, to make sure he is breathing and not having any seizures. Would it be possible to get a bed for them? And for the other 2 children no bunk beds because I am scare that the special needs will try to climb them.

A devoted grandmother, now the guardian of her three grandchildren (ages 7, 8, and 11), is doing her best to care for them on a fixed income. Her 8-year-old grandson has disabilities that require multiple weekly therapy and doctor appointments, making it impossible for her to work.

With updated car seat laws taking effect July 1st, she now needs two booster seats to safely transport the children—but cannot afford them. She’s also struggling to afford gas, putting her grandson’s critical appointments at risk.

We are requesting two booster seats and a $50 gas card to help ensure the children’s safety and that her grandson can continue receiving the care he needs.

A dining table and chairs would provide a space for them to eat together, connect as a family, and focus on schoolwork. Dressers would help the kids keep their clothes neat as they navigate a busy school year. These essentials would make their new home more comfortable and functional. Any support for these hardworking children and their dedicated mom is deeply appreciated. This client requested as a wish list of multiples of items: Oval Rug x3, Silverware set x2, Dresser x5 if possible. However, Only 1 has been requested of each item. Because the mom does not want to stress anyone that wants to help.

The family has a difficulty warming up food and is in need of a microwave. As their microwave recently broke down. Mom reported that using the oven often increases the electric bill. A new microwave will help this family comfortably be able to eat hot food.

An underage mother in foster care is in her third trimester and is expecting a little boy. She is currently out of school and has been unable to find work due to her pregnancy, she expects to be induced early because of a medical condition. This young mother needs assistance gathering item for her baby that she is unable to purchase herself, so that she can focus on her health and her baby for the remainder of her pregnancy. Receiving these items would allow her to spend more time with the baby once he is born rather than immediately having to look for a job after delivering to afford necessities. She does not have a strong or reliable support system around her to assist with getting these items. Helping this young mother and unborn baby would give mom and baby a stable start and would reduce the risk that another child enter into foster care. Mom needs assistance with: diapers and wipes, a baby monitor, a changing table ($100_, baby bottles ($20), a baby washing tub ( ~$30), and baby clothing (infant-6mo, ~$80).

The mother is recently reunified and has requested bunkbeds for the children to better accommodate sleeping arrangements.

A single mom of five children has moved into her own apartment. Due to emergency circumstances her elderly father has moved in with her. This has displaced the children from the couch they were once sleeping on. The children could use a bunk bed with twin mattresses. This would provide a safe space for the siblings to sleep at night without taking up too much space in their 2-bedroom apartment.
