A mother is in need of some assistance pertaining to clothing as well as bedding for her children, three years old and three months old. Mother is doing what she is able to do, to care and provide for her children. However, she has very limited supports. She is a survivor of domestic violence and due to this, she is now parenting on her own. Mother enjoys volunteering her time at a local shelter and helping/giving back to others. Mother is struggling financially, and assistance with clothing and bedding for the children, would help eliminate a burden.

A family with 3 children and 1 mother. Mother has recently loss her job due to a broken wrist and not being employed enough time. The children are active and broke their last beds. The family could benefit from a bunk bed as they have to share a room. Mother does not receive any assistance from the children's father and is struggling to get beds. The children have places to sleep as she has given her bed and mother is sleeping on the couch. The family could also benefit from groceries as mother is trying to make ends meet and gave one of the children's father some of her food to ensure the children are fed while on a visit.

A mother of two who just received housing after an extended period of homelessness is in need of home furnishings. She is starting over and only has a bed her neighbor gave her. She is in need of two twin beds with bedding, dressers, couch, tables, any furniture that would help make her house a home for her two children.

Single mother of two is looking for assistance with getting a twin size bedframe. She is also looking for additional assistance with clothing, as the children are growing. Girl is 8 years old and is in size 7/8 in girls, and boy is 3 years old and is in size 4T in both tops and bottoms. Gently used is acceptable and anything will be greatly appreciated for this family!

Single mother of five children (three boys and two girls) is looking for assistance with getting new mattresses and bed frames for her children. She would like, 5 twin beds and bed frames. Mattress protectors would also be beneficial and bedding, but is not as necessary. She is also looking for a full size bed and frame for herself if possible as well. Gently used is acceptable, and anything for the family will be greatly appreciated!

A single mother with 4 children ages 1-12. Mother works as a server so her income is not consistent. Mother receives no assistance from the other parents and is having difficultly paying the $150 enrollment into school for the fall for the girls. She is also trying to get additional uniforms for their school as she wants them to attend St. Joan of Arc. Mother works additional hours to make sure her children get what they need but is still struggling and she wants the best education for them. The three school age children are 7, 11 and 12.

This request was entered into the portal originally in March '25. However, it was closed due to no responses. The need has not been met, and assistance with the flooring is still needed.

This request is related to a child who is paralyzed and wheel chair dependent. The condition of the flooring of the home is poor; the carpet is old and stretched out, leaving rolls on the floor. This makes it extremely difficult for the child to move around in the home. By having assistance with the flooring being replaced, this will make the home safer for the child and allow them to be more independent. The caregiver was quoted $5,374.35 in materials and labor. The caregiver is asking for assistance as they are concerned about the child's safety in their home without the repairs completed and due to the costs associated. Due to the child's high medical needs, obtaining a placement that was able to assist the child was difficult. This child was not always wheel chair dependent and is the result of an accident. The labor was quoted at approximately $2,500.00. If someone would be able to assist with the labor portion, that would cut the cost in half. The caregiver does not have to go through the company with the quote provided, but wanted to get an idea of how much the fixes would cost. If someone would be able to assist with the labor or the materials separately, this would cut the cost in half.

Mom is a single mom with 4 small children. The children's ages are 7, 5, 3, & 2 years old. The family is in need of extra clothing for the children as they are all growing so quickly. The children's fathers are not in the picture and do not help mom. Mom is working part time and is able to provide a nice home and warm beds for the children, but additional clothing is would be very helpful. Mom has reached out to the daycare and schools but has not had any luck. Mom has also reached out to other family members, but again no luck. Mom is okay with gently used clothing, as anything would help.

This request is for a grandmother that has taken in her daughter's eight month old baby to prevent further, more restrictive actions from the agency. Mother is a single mother, who emancipated from the agency's custody and recently has been a victim of domestic violence. Mother is depending on maternal grandmother's help for navigating right now, and most importantly, keeping her child safe. Mother is unemployed and does not have the ability to purchase the requested items for grandmother's use. The caregiver has also taken in another child and the needs requested, would help lift a weight off of the caregiver. The caregiver is in need of a highchair for feeding purposes and to help support the developmental milestones associated with feeding time. Additionally, the grandmother is in need of a stroller to help take the child out of the home to support socialization and development in other areas outside of the home.

A mother of four (soon to be five), was finally able to obtain her own safe, independent housing. Previously, mother and her children had been living with maternal grandmother for many years. The family is very excited to finally have a place that they can call their own. Mother is in need of a couch for the living room, so that her family can spend quality time together, comfortably. Currently, mother has a small love seat that can fit up to two people, while the rest of the family is sitting on the floor. A couch would be able to assist in making this feel more like a home and take worry off of mother.

The size of couch that the family can fit in their home is unknown at this time, however an update will be added to this request once that information is received from the caseworker.

Per the caseworker, mother does not have the dimensions of the living room, but it would fit an L shaped couch, that has separate pieces. The caseworker said that anything that is: 35”H x 85” W x 54” D or below would fit in the home.

Mom has 3 girls: 10, 8, and 5. The oldest and youngest are autistic and work with multiple providers. Mom works and recently had a plumbing issue that needed immediate attention. Mom used money that was set aside for other bills to fix the plumbing so her children could bathe in the home instead of going elsewhere.

Since mom had to pay to fix the plumbing, she couldn't pay for trash service, and services were stopped. Mom is facing a citation with the city and a fine of $500 if she can't restart trash services.

Father of the children only recently started work and is unable to assist financially. Mom states that she has a friend willing to hail the current trash away for a small fee, but she doesn't have enough money to restart trash services. Mom is trying to work extra shifts to make extra money, but the deadline before the city goes forward with the citation is 4/16.
