A family that is in desperate need of help with furnishing their new home is struggling to create a safe, comfortable, and functional environment for their special needs child. The family is hoping for a new start after being misplaced due to a fire burning down their previous home. The child who is nonverbal autistic needs specialized furniture to ensure their safety. The family continues to struggle with finances due to the parent having multiple medical conditions to where they are unable to work and earn an income. They are unable to afford the specialized items their child requires like sensory - friendly furniture. As they settle into their new home, the lack of basic furniture and home goods has become a source of anxiety for them. Basic furniture is needed to furnish the child's room such as a twin bed, twin mattress, twin bed frame and dresser. Basic home good items such as silverware, plates, bowls, pots, and pans are needed as well. These items will significantly help the family create a space where the child can thrive, feel secure and have the same opportunities and comfort as others.
