Mother needs Bed’s for the children. Mother has been trying to save up for one but has not been successful. Although, mother is having that challenge, mother is trying to her hardest to provide for her children. Mother is committed to maintaining the family together. During my work with mother I have identified the following strengths: mother works, is knowledgeable of child’s needs and is present mother goals are to be able to live on her own. The main reason I am requesting this need to be fulfilled is because Mother is a single mother with two children ages 4 and 5. The children are in the spectrum. Mother is having a difficult time saving up to buy the children a new bed. The two beds that they have are broken, have a bad odor and looks very old, which is unsanitary for the children. The nails are coming out of the bed and is a hazard to the children. Mother stated it has been difficult to save up because she is the only provider. Mother stated she knows the mattresses smell and is not sanitary but does not want her children who are in the spectrum to sleep on the floor.. This need is critical to ensuring that the children having a right bed can significantly improve sleep quality for children in the spectrum. A well-chosen bed can address sensory sensitivities, providing comfort and reducing anxiety.
