A homeless couple needs assistance with getting cell phones. The father's phone recently stopped working and the mother's phone was stolen from a shelter. Their children, an 8 year old boy and a 1 year old girl, are in kinship care, so they depend on their phones in order to talk to them on a daily basis. It can be difficult at times for them to find a place to charge their phones. This also means that they cannot stay in contact with their caseworker, life skills worker, guardian ad liteum, or attorneys. A walmart giftcard, in the amount of $300, would meet this need. If this need is met, it will ensure consistency in regular communication between parents, their children, and the professionals on the case with the ultimate goal of reunification of the children and parents.
